Data Protection

How JuriBase handles the questions, documents and research you bring to it. For the full legal terms, see our Privacy Policy.
What happens to your documents
Where they're stored
Documents you upload, and anything the agent drafts for you, are stored on JuriBase's servers in Paris, France, under your account.
Who processes them
Your documents are read by our own AI models, which run on our own servers. They are not sent to any outside AI provider.
Reuse across research
With memory switched on, the agent can use files from your earlier research, so you don't have to upload them again. You can switch memory off at any time.
How long we keep them
Until you delete them. See Keeping and deleting your data.
Our AI models and your data
Our own models, on our own servers
JuriBase's AI runs on models we host ourselves, in Paris, France. Your questions, documents and research are never sent to an outside AI company.
Never used for training
We do not use your questions, documents or research to train or improve our models.
Memory is not training
If memory is switched on, the agent keeps short notes about how you work, such as your firm's details or preferred formatting. These notes belong to your account only and are never shared with other users or used to train anything. You can view, delete or switch them off at any time.
Who can see your data
Other JuriBase users
No other user can see your questions, documents, research or drafts. Each account can only reach its own data.
Your firm
If you join a firm account, your firm's administrator can see usage information only: how many searches and tasks you've run, your activity, and when you last signed in. They can never see your questions, documents, research or drafts. You can leave a firm account at any time.
JuriBase staff
Our team cannot see the content of your questions, documents, research or drafts.
How we protect your data
Encryption
Everything you send to JuriBase and everything we send back is encrypted in transit. Your data is also encrypted where it's stored on our servers.
Where your data lives
All your data is stored on our servers in Paris, France.
Securing your account
You can turn on two-factor authentication, so a stolen password alone isn't enough to sign in. Card payments are handled by Paystack, and JuriBase never sees or stores your card details.
Keeping and deleting your data
You decide how long we keep it
Your questions, research, drafts, documents and memory notes stay in your account until you delete them.
Deleting
You can delete any research, document or memory note yourself. It disappears from your account immediately and is permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.
Closing your account
If you delete your account, everything in it is permanently erased from our servers within 30 days.
What we keep after that
We keep records of your payments for as long as Kenyan tax law requires.
Confidentiality and your rights
Your client's confidentiality
We treat everything you put into JuriBase as confidential. We use it only to give you the answers and drafts you ask for, never for any other purpose.
The law we follow
JuriBase is run by Fourcense Technologies, a company registered in Kenya. We handle your data under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
If something goes wrong
If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you without delay and report it to the Data Protection Commissioner within 72 hours.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or have it deleted. Email alvinotanga@juribase.com and we will respond within 7 days.
